Challenge
Three-phase rectifiers are key components in applications such as electric vehicle chargers, grid-connected energy storage systems, and uninterruptible power supplies (UPS). Synthesizing control loops on digital platforms is a major challenge due to the need to integrate parameters specific to the digital implementation, such as sampling period, ADC conversion gain, quantization, and transport delays introduced by the measurement and computation chain.
Solution
Within the framework of a two-level, three-phase PFC controller, SmartCtrl It enables the design, analysis, and implementation of digital control loops. The tool takes into account different sampling strategies, the integration of digital filters (FIR, IIR), and the internal modeling of transport and computation times within the plant model.
