TRM
The software TRM is a thermal simulator, capable of calculating temperatures from currents and dissipations in three dimensions, thus allowing you to test the endurance and ensure the thermal integrity of your system.
Four types of documents are required for the simulation:
- Gerber and Drill Files
- IDF
- Usage environment
- A thermogram calculated in XY resolution from 0,1 to 0,3 mm on each of the layers
- A picture of current densities and potentials as a function of resistances and voltage drops
- An image of the temperatures according to the different resistivities and conductivities
- Virtual thermal coupling temperature
- Curves of thermal responses over time as a function of cycles
TRM was designed to meet technical requirements during design or testing. The simulation is more accurate and faster compared to other calculation methods:
Knowledge of thermal calculations is not necessary. TRM's interface makes it possible to converge to the result in just seven steps, a connector with Altium DesignerCadence Orcad and Siemens PADS are available.
